01 :: Daniel's Decision
==========================

The decree didn't stop Daniel.

Now when Daniel learned that the decree had been published, he went
home to his upstairs room where the windows opened toward
Jerusalem. Three times a day he got down on his knees and prayed,
giving thanks to his God, just as he had done before. (6:10)

Many versions have "as he had done since his youth" as the last
phrase.

Either way the point is made. The Lord was anchored in Daniel's
heart. Even as he entered captivity in chapter 1 we saw his faith.

There's no denying it.

Making a decision for the Lord early in life can follow us
positively later in life. Daniel didn't have a decision to make
when the decree went out. The decision had been made years before.

As we work with teens let's remember that the Lord is making a life
long impact through us. The decisions to questions raised 25 years
from now are already being made.

Blessings,
Paul and Al
