Basketball is a great outreach for your youth ministry. Many churches have outdoor courts and have games during the early fall or spring. However, there are many churches who now have indoor facilities which makes things a lot better because of the weather. Like any other event, 3 on 3 basketball takes a lot of planning. You have to decide how to choose your teams, who will referee and will you have an end of the league tournament? At each game you will want to have a desiginated person do a five to ten minute devotional at which time Jesus will be shared. It is very important to get your core kids involved and remind them that they will be the role models for the event. Let your group know that it is so very important for them to live Jesus in front of the guests.
