Why were Joshua and Caleb so bold?

Why did they stand firm against the other ten who spied out the
promised land with them?

I've got no clue about Caleb, but the Word gives us a hint about
Joshua...

"Joshua son of Nun, who had been Moses' aide since youth..." Numbers
11:28

Moses' example impacted Joshua. They spent time together. Joshua
carried out the directives of Moses. And here is the key phrase:
"since his youth."

You are impacting the lives of youth.

You are setting an example that will follow them the rest of their
lives.

You are taking the lead now, so they will be able to lead later.
