| Joys of Parenthood - Two days a week my wife works with our congregations pre-school program and I get the kids to myself each Tuesday and the grandparents are here on Thursday. I tease her that she gets away from the hustle and bustle of our house to watch other peoples kids! [ Seventh Heaven ] Laughter - I was sitting here quietly pondering the meaning of silence when an overwhelming sense of laughter came over me my thoughts traveled to my husband and the other youth helper person 2 very grown men husky but well build in the way God made them my thoughts had drifty to an earlier conversation a frantic voice on the other end of the phone states "what do i wear surely you can't wear shorts and flip flops to a ballea" okay now i know that doesn't sound like something that would [ Shana's Wacky World of Nothing ] Random Babble anyone? - Goodmorning world...today not so bad happy to report my dreams were silent maybe that whole getting off my chest theory worked personally the idea of counseling seems mildly absurd to me now (no offense counselors are much needed) but why bare your soul for a price when you can bare it for free to complete strangers over a very non private atmospher ...okay not sounding so appealing now but what i have i got to lose my creator the one opioion that outshadows the rest already knows my deep dark [ Shana's Wacky World of Nothing ] silent torment - Do blogs always have to make since or can i just put stuff out there and get it off my chest ? God i hope so because well my lack of friends is leaving me feeling like i have no one to talk to when things begin to weigh me down how dumb does that sound,,,anyway my main reason for writting on here is in hopes that i will be able to be completely honest without fear of someone i actually know reading this but at the same time i [ Shana's Wacky World of Nothing ] ALONE IN WORSHIP SURROUNDED WITH PEOPLE -  The Third Day concert was so good 2 of my teens had never been to a christian event that big before and to watch the Holy Spirit work in them through the music was outstanding after the concert the girls all wanted to meet REVIVE which i have to say is an extremely talented and down to earth group i met there wives who don't get half the thanks yous they deserve from there husbands fans ....I wanted to give a big Thank you to Revive for [ Shana's Wacky World of Nothing ]Just another crazy day in the life of me -  Well my smart self agreed to work the day of the concert so now i am having to rush rush rush come 3:00 because what i once had all day to do i now have 1 hour to do ...Pray for me
The day has started out crazy my alarm decided to not go off i swear the thing has a mind of its own i have threatened it many times that i would buy a new one lol ...i got to work only to find that they [ Shana's Wacky World of Nothing ]TICKETS - I am in a panic my students worked so hard to get third day tickets for the up coming concert and well i went in my wallet where the tickets were and NO tickets i have no clue what happened to them i am gulity of leaving my purse laying around and i don't want to think that someone from church or work got in my purse and took the tickets i am fasting this afternoon around lunch and will continue to do so untill the tickets are found i [ Shana's Wacky World of Nothing ] Today - Today has been a good day so far...i have been struggling with bad health for the past couple years and just recently it had gotten to the point where i was so tired all the time i couldn't drive without pulling over to close my eyes...i could not figure out what was wrong with me and worse neither could the doctor so after trying test after test trying to figure out why i went from being in constant pain to being in constant pain and sleeping all the time so [ Shana's Wacky World of Nothing ] Stranger things have happend - well i have a strange reason for writting...i have a job that i love i work for an elementary school in the clinic i could not ask for a better job but with gas prices the way they are it is putting an extra burden on me and my hubby i work and hour and 10 mins from home i have the opportunity to move careers i have been offered a position close to home i mean i could walk or a position closer that would open up lots of [ Shana's Wacky World of Nothing ] TESTIMONY - [quote]Things Fall Apart so Things can Fall Together Its pretty bad when your the only subscriber to your own blog ...iam trying to get the hang of blogging anyway i would like people to resond to me by posting there TESTIMONY thanks  [ Shana's Wacky World of Nothing ]Venting - [color=darkred][/color][size=18][/size]  That little smily face expresses my emotions to a tee.. i have been trying very hard to get the church involved in the youth there are lots of wonderful things that i feel God is leading me to do with my youth ...not to mention....okay let me start from the begining i was asked to start a youth group for this church with all of 2 teens i was excited i knew God had lead me and my hubby there and i knew he was going to [ Shana's Wacky World of Nothing ]Preparation always equals success. - Have you ever been under the impression that what we are doing is sometimes all for naught? Have you ever doubted the calling that God has on your life? Have you ever just wanted your time of preparation to be over? All things, do them as if doing for the Lord. [ Not preparing to succeed is preparing to fail. ] Youth Ministry Resources? - Hi All, I've just assumed oversight of our youth ministries while we look for a longer term solution so, other than 9 years working with college students with Campus Crusade for Christ this is all pretty new to me. [ Other Good Youth Ministry Resources? ] welcome to our blog - Hey folks, does it sometyimes feel as if your banging your head against a wall, with your limited resources and understanding of a particular subject.
well that was and is me, as a children's pastor I realise that on occasions there is going to be a subject that you know nothing about and have no one to talk to about it, ASD/ADHD are two particular areas where i felt inadequate in understanding and comprehension.
I hope that through this blog we can learn together, work together and seek together, to better, understand [ ASD/ADHD ] |
